With over 60 years’ experience in furniture manufacturing, Moores Furniture Group needed a solution in place for stock taking.
For ten years the company has enjoyed success using two CipherLab devices within the company’s warehouse.
Initially we set Moores up with the CipherLab 8300 portable data terminals. The rugged device is purpose built for tough environments with an IP65 rating and can withstand 1.2m drops. The device is powered by a Li-ion rechargeable battery with 100+ hours of operating time, making it a good choice for inventory control.
The company were looking for a device that was lightweight and simple to use which made the 8300 an ideal option.
Once the 8300 became end of life and the company needed to upgrade and change the decision to stick with a CipherLab terminal was an easy and obvious one.
We worked with the team at Moores to migrate the company to the CipherLab 8200 Series. The device, which is similar to the 8300 is a one of CipherLab most popular enterprise PDTs, with the user benefitting from a sleek lightweight design and simple easy to use functionality.
The 8200 was an ideal replacement for Moores as one of the requirements was Bluetooth connectivity, and a device capable of running Terminal emulation applications linking back to its legacy mainframe.
Overall, Moores have had complete success for ten years with CipherLab terminals, and will be using them long into the future.
